Just like all our other furniture sets at home, our garden furniture sets are also prone to abrasion and need some restoration jobs to preserve its elegance and beauty. However, when purchasing your garden furniture, it is important to consider the material used like the rust-free one or the one that can withstand in all weather conditions. You can do the restoration of your garden furniture if you are willing enough to do the following minor repair or restoration jobs.
Regular Cleaning – this will help a lot in keeping your furniture at its good working condition. In addition, cleaning regularly will also give you the chance to check your garden furniture regularly as well, thus minor problems, repair will be noticed immediately, and repair works will be done instantly.
Filling Cracks – cracks are normal to any garden furniture especially during dry season and if the furniture piece is a bit older. One can easily get rid of this problem by adding some moisturizer to the affected area of the furniture with the help of some oils. If you have a wicker garden furniture, linseed oil is common as moisturizer. All you have to do is to apply the oil thoroughly on the affected area and leave it for a day. To get rid of this problem and preserve the beauty of your furniture, rub fine grit sandpaper over the damaged area and finish it with a varnish. On the other hand, you can also opt to have slipcover that fits the furniture or iron-on patches similar to the cushion.

On the other hand, kerosene, lemon juice, and vinegar are also good cleaning solutions. After removing rusts, apply a rustproof primer and spray paint your furniture with your desired color for finishing.
